I ran my 6 miles tonight. For this week I ran last Monday 10 miles and now Saturday 6 miles. In between I did almost daily walks. Verdict? Not good. I was much slower and much in pain. It didn’t help that my diet for this week was horrendous. Too much fat and carbs.
My solution is to quit walking and switch to jogging short distances in between long distances. That way, I’d keep my leg muscles warmed up for long distances throughout the week.
