So, as I have noted in my last blog, this week was of a different approach. I ran:
6 miles Monday
5 miles Tuesday (slow and fast)
Rest Wednesday
4 miles Thursday (slow and fast)
And I’m hoping to jack up my long distance to 10 miles Saturday.
My diet was a little better. My weight is maintained.
On Running 1

I ran my 6 miles tonight. For this week I ran last Monday 10 miles and now Saturday 6 miles. In between I did almost daily walks. Verdict? Not good. I was much slower and much in pain. It didn’t help that my diet for this week was horrendous. Too much fat and carbs.
My solution is to quit walking and switch to jogging short distances in between long distances. That way, I’d keep my leg muscles warmed up for long distances throughout the week.
