One of the bad things to do as a worker especially in the medical field is the bend-lift-twist movement, a sure way to hurt your back. The most common example is bending over a patient and then lifting him to scoot him up towards the head of the bed. To avoid injury, make sure you: call for assistance, raise the bed up so you won't bend and do the scooting in synchronized manner. Best of all, do core exercises like pilates.

I vow to return to my good old fiction reading.
Just like everyone else, I’ve been sucked into gadgetry and technology since 1996. I often find myself searching and staring and phoning and texting via iphone in the ubiquitous name of ‘social media’. Meanwhile the books I promised to read are piling inside my bedroom and in my storage. These are very interesting titles I miss reading because there are far too many entertainment media to replace them: DVD, movies and worst of all, surfing the internet. Raise your hand if you’re guilty of over-surfing useless information.
