Warm - up Season

So I am returning back to my running, presumably to do it more regularly albeit less intense onwards. I am also hearing the call of other activities such as swimming and weight-lifting. These are things I’d like to pursue once the schooling is over. Obviously exercising is not the only solution to being fit and healthy. Diet and Relaxation play a large part as well. To avoid stress, I am lowering my expectations, but not too low that I won’t gain a thing. I am hoping that my summer Discrete Math would be less time-consuming than my previous Calculus. I’d like to run and swim and lift weight and sleep and eat the most nutritious food - these are quite high level goals on top of working and schooling - again, I am allowing myself to fail now and then or miss now and then. A ship can be slow and sluggish or fast depending on its cargo and the wind and its built. It may toss and turn and whimper and whine but as long as it floats and reaches its destination, it should be alright.
My warm-up for regular running:
Started with a slow with what I call geisha run, slow and very short strides. frequent walks and then geisha(4 miles)

The above links are few of the studies and one news suggesting that excessive endurance sports such as marathoning causes more heart problems than protection regardless of race or eliteness. And so, as I was asking earlier, is there a point where exercise can be beneficial without these dangerous effects? The answer is Yes, so long as you do it in moderation. Which leads to another question : What is moderation?
